Time Off! | Alaska 2017

If you subscribe to my Newsletter or follow me on Facebook, you may know that I was gone for most of June!  I closed down the studio and spent almost three weeks traveling with my husband.  To all of you that called and e-mailed while I was gone, thank you for your patience and for letting me have some much-needed time away! <3

Here’s a little peek into what we did!

Pike Place Market – my favorite area of Seattle!

Sailing off to Alaska!

Overlooking the harbor in Ketchikan.

Welcome to the Salmon Capital of the World!

A beautiful day at sea.

My first time seeing a glacier!

Hiking in Juneau was amazing…right up in the clouds!

Definitely take the tram.

The nature trail in Icy Strait Point is small, but beautiful!

Throw a wood chip into the fire and make a wish!

Midnight Sun is stunning…gorgeous skies at 11:00 p.m.!

The sun doesn’t bother setting before it rises again.

Regrouping in Anchorage with the best beers in the state – 49th State Brewing!

After making our mark at the Salty Dawg Saloon, we headed down to the end of the spit in Homer.

Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!

The trails in Kodiak reminded me so much of Scotland, and I miss them both!

We got rained out on our hike,
but thankfully Kodiak Brewing opened early for us!

Warming up on our balcony with a cup of coffee <3

And bundled back up as we approach Hubbard Glacier!

One of the most incredible sights I’ve ever seen…and so many seals!

Well hi there…

Soaking wet on ROUGH seas,
but I was determined to see some whales!

Gala night = Portrait night

Totally worth braving the cold for these photos!

Quick stop in Canada! I wish they stamped passports at cruise stops.

Back in Seattle! Hubby and I shared a flight at Elysian. Mens Room Red? Not a favorite.

Flat Stick Pub is SO MUCH FUN! I got a hole-in-one on this shot 😀

We finally took a real day off!
No cameras, just exploring. Came back to this view from our Airbnb!

Now it’s back to boudoir!  It’s been a crazy couple of weeks since I’ve been back, and I can’t wait to post about even more beautiful things happening around the studio!
