I write a lot about the experience here at Boudoir by Wallflower, because it truly has been crafted over several years to be the very best. However, writing about it is one thing…showing it is something else entirely!
So, here’s a whirlwind tour of what the Boudoir Experience here is all about! And, while my FAQ has a lot of common questions and answers, this video tries to tackle a few of the big ones in a very short time 🙂
Hair and Makeup always included
Yep! All of my sessions include hair and make-up, and my stylist is amazing. Kayla does an incredible job of getting my clients camera-ready, and she’s also my resident fashionista. I can always count on her to introduce me to new styles in clothing and makeup, and my closet (if not my pocketbook) thanks her for it!
Expert Coaching
I’m not exaggerating when I say that I coach you through every detail. This isn’t just telling you how to pose, it’s telling you how to be present in your images! My degree in Dance Performance taught me so much about how the body moves and how it can be presented in and beautiful and artful way, and that’s proven itself to be so valuable in my work.
I’m very intentional with my work, and nothing makes me happier than when my clients choose to include every image that I show them in their album! I work hard in your session to make sure that every image is unique, every pose flattering, and every expression perfect for the shot.
Comfortable Environment
My studio is delicious…I don’t know any other way to say it. The first time I walked in and saw the purple/green/yellow disheveled mess I was thinking about leasing, I knew that it had the potential to be something incredible. After a massive re-design and renovation of the space, it’s everything I could have asked for and more – beautiful original 1928 hardwood floors, natural light all day, and clean, white walls have made for an environment that feels warm and welcoming, and hardly at all like a photo studio.
I didn’t set out to build a cool studio; I wanted a beautiful place for women to be able to relax and feel comfortable! It’s just perfect.
Customized Session Experience
Every client I book starts with a consultation where we plan their session, sets, and outfits in detail. No two sessions are ever identical! On session day, I am ready with a full list in my mind of every shot I want to get of you to show you off at your absolute best.
Boudoir Is All I Do
This studio is unique in that I don’t shoot anything else here. It’s all boudoir, all the time, and my mindset and focus never changes. When I started shooting boudoir, I knew how much these images can impact a woman…and I take that very seriously. A poorly done boudoir session can leave a lasting scar, so I left all other photography behind and have dedicated the past five years of my career to making sure women leave my studio feeling empowered and beautiful!
