Something exciting is happening this Final Friday 😉 Newsletter subscribers got a preview, and I’ve been anxious to get this post up! (PS – if you’re not subscribed to the newsletter yet, you can do that here!)
As many of you may know, my husband (Aaron Patton) is a photographer as well and I get to model for him often! He’s been working on his Shapes project since 2012 and just finished it this year. On Final Friday (September 29th), he’ll be hosting an event for the first showing of the completed project. You don’t want to miss this, so mark your calendars now 😉
I got to model for this project several times. I was the first model when Aaron created the concept in 2012, and I closed it out as his last model just earlier this month.  I also got a few shoots in the middle because when you’re married to the photographer, you get some special treatment 😉
My answer was “Yes!” every time there was anything new to try with the project because I believe in it so much. The beauty of the female form is what Boudoir by Wallflower is all about, and to be part of an art project celebrating it in a whole new way was exciting!
From the beginning, it was about using the body as a canvas for beauty, but it blossomed into even more than that as the years went on. Feminine curves are so beautiful and I believe that we should never have to feel ashamed of them. Shapes is also about celebrating our unique curves (which my brand is also all about! I think it might be a no-brainer why I’m in love with this project…).
To me, Shapes is using art to spread the message that being nude doesn’t have to mean that it’s “dirty” or “inappropriate”. Nudity can just be beauty in it’s purest form.
The images here are just a preview (and all me!), but you really need to come celebrate with us this Friday, September 29th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. to see the complete project! We’ll be at the new Vanya Designs studio at 520 S. Commerce and DJ Carbon will be there with jammin’ out all night long.
