2. Why did you want to do a boudoir session?
Three years ago I changed my life. I lost 110lbs, started obstacle course racing where I met my soon to be husband. I have a LOT of body images issues and lack self confidence. My soon-to-be husband has said what makes a women beautiful is confidence…something I have lacked. For a wedding gift I thought nothing would be more suiting then to go out on a limb and do the very thing that would scare me to death!
3. What made you choose Wallflower?
The pictures were stunning. I loved that there were vast images of all shapes and sizes of women. There were all ages and they all looked absolutely beautiful.
4. Were you nervous at all to do your shoot?
I was terrified. I almost cancelled the shoot. I had a pit in my stomach the morning of. I saw the stretch marks, the cellulite, the scars, the wrinkles…all the imperfections. I always felt goofy when I smiled and felt I was not photogenic.
5. What was your favorite part of the experience?
I don’t know where to start. The entire experience was incredible. From the planning stages to the hair and make up (Rue is amazing and personable) I felt like I was listened to. The photo shoot was actually fun! When I left that day, I felt beautiful. Christina is so easy to be around, she makes you feel comfortable and confident. She is respectful of body issues and manages to make you feel completely comfortable.
6. What would you tell a friend if they were thinking about doing a boudoir session?
Do it! Do it for yourself. Do it because every woman should get to feel the way that the Wallflower experience makes you feel!!
7. What was it like to see your photos?
I was afraid to see them . I knew in the past I always looked awful in pictures and I was afraid I would be disappointed. I sat down on the couch facing a big screen with so much anxiety…nothing like seeing self doubt on a big screen. what I saw brought tears to my eyes. She had captured so much. It was perfect. She had done what felt impossible. I could not get over how amazing the pictures were!
8. Was everything what you expected it to be when you first got in touch?
It was more . The experience is glamorous . Christina is fun and wonderful to work with and there was no part of the experience that was not perfect!
9. Do you see yourself differently after having your session?
I can not wait to come back and do it again! Coming from a woman who hates having her pictures made, that says a lot!
10. Anything else you’d like to throw out there?
Just thank you to Rue and Christina. There are no words to express how I feel. You two made the girl who plays in the mud, works in the dirt and never feels feminine, feel like a million dollars…I can not wait to show him the pictures! And you will definitely see me again!!
