She said: “So much more than I expected” | Boudoir by Wallflower review

What do you do for a living?

Retired aerospace engineer

Why did you want to do a boudoir session?

I have spent my entire professional career in a very professional environment. In fact, in so many ways in order to succeed I had to compete with men on their playing field. I felt that I had lost my femininity and who I was as a woman, and I wanted to get in touch with that part of me that I knew was under the layers of business suits and appropriate behavior.

What made you choose Wallflower?

I had done what they used to call “glamour shots” back in the 90s and saw an ad for the studio and it piqued my interest. After talking to Christina I knew she was the person that I could trust to do this.

Were you nervous at all to do your shoot?

Absolutely. I spent my life thinking of myself as ugly and fat. I was not at all sure that there was a sexy woman under all of that.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

Christina made me feel so comfortable. She helped me to bring out a side of myself that I suspected was there. She helped me to feel so comfortable.

What would you tell a friend if they were thinking about doing a boudoir session?

Do it. Do it. Do it. It is an awesome, validating experience and so worth it. To see the beautiful woman who was under all the layers of professional appropriateness was amazing… I am now seeing myself in a completely different light.

What was it like to see your photos?

I was astounded and it was such a happy moment for me to see myself in that light.

Was everything what you expected it to be when you first got in touch?

It was so much more than I expected. It has opened me up to who I really am.

Do you see yourself differently after having your session?

Absolutely. I used to think of myself as ugly, fat and old. I no longer believe that. I am a beautiful woman with my own brand of unique beauty and I am proud of who I am.

Anything else you’d like to throw out there?

I am so thrilled that I did this. Christina is truly a fabulous photographer and a woman who understands the challenges we as women face regarding understanding who we truly are. Her beautiful spirit and true talents helped me to feel completely different about myself.  Thank you so much Christina.
