Why did you want to do a boudoir session?
I’ve had the privilege of working with Christina twice in the past, the first time for a shoot, and the second time as a (VERY) amateur model. Twice I’ve come away with images that serve as wonderful reminders that our bodies as women are truly something to celebrate! I am now married and wanted to do a session that honored my transition into marriage, and that would be a gift to my husband for our first anniversary.
What made you choose Wallflower?
I wanted to hang out with Christina for the day! 😉 In all seriousness, there would be absolutely no other place I would go for this kind of photography shoot. Christina is so authentically kind as a person, and also an absolute master behind the camera. Wichita doesn’t know how lucky it is to have her!
Were you nervous at all to do your shoot?
What was your favorite part of the experience?
Getting dolled up, spending time with Christina, and seeing the photos afterward!
What would you tell a friend if they were thinking about doing a boudoir session?
I convinced two of my best friends to do it. 😊 Go for it – you’re in good hands!
What was it like to see your photos?
So fun! I counted down the days before the big reveal.
Was everything what you expected it to be when you first got in touch?
Having worked with Christina before, I knew the basic timeline of the process, but her repertoire and style as a photographer has evolved, which compliments the new studio space perfectly! There were definitely some new angles and artistic ideas she incorporated that I didn’t see coming, and I LOVED being surprised!
Do you see yourself differently after having your session?
Yes! It was fun to see how my body has changed from my first session five years ago. During my first shoot, I was a cardio queen. The second time I worked with her as a model. I wasn’t working out due to a highly demanding job and was at my most buxom. Now I’m balancing my life with long distance running and regular resistance training. Those changes are really noticeable. Our bodies are amazing.
