I love pulling my wedding dress back out every few years and show it off it with a shoot of its own! With my 15th anniversary being just a couple weeks ago, it has me looking back at the last shoot I did in my dress…and making plans for another one! This shoot was also special because it was the last shoot in the studio I had for 5 years (2014 to 2019) before I moved to my last studio (before moving to my current one in 2021…what can I say? I like to change it up!).
In what felt like an unfortunate turn of events for my last shoot in that space, the air conditioning in the building decided to just…quit. But hey, lemons to lemonade! As the sun was beating through the windows and heating the space up to a way-too-warm 85 degrees, I changed up the plan and decided to use my dress as more prop than wardrobe – can’t be sweating in that thing! If you’ve done a session with me, though, you know I always think less is more, so this time I got to play by my own rule 😉
I love the idea of topless shots with any bottoms! This reminded me of shots that would be in Italian Vogue <3
Once I held the dress in front instead of wearing it, I was in love! So unexpected!
