Bombshell Tip #14 – Get Bent
Yoga may be the best thing you can do for yourself leading up to your shoot! Catch a beginner’s class, even just a couple times a week, and get your body warm and well-stretched. The added flexibility you’ll gain from some time in yoga will be evident in your photos! Every 1% counts.
If you can’t make it to an in-person class, YouTube has you covered! One of my personal favorites is Yoga with Adrienne. Her chill attitude, calming voice, and adorable dog Benji can put anyone at ease! She is great about giving modifications and going slow through poses, so it’s a great place to start if you’re just starting out. Don’t have time for a full hour class? She’s got plenty of shorter 15-minute classes, too!
PSA that I can’t not add in (it’s the dancer in me!) – if anything hurts or starts to feel uncomfortable during an online workout, STOP. Your body is sending a signal to you that something isn’t right. Relax out of the pose and try again or save that pose for another day.
